Detroit Brooks A.K.A. (504Detroit) is a young smooth R&B/Hip Hop vocalist whom is definitely making his presence known in the music industry today. 504Detroit is also a songwriter who is seasoned and ready to take his place in the spotlight.

504Detroit comes from a highly notarized music family out of New Orleans, Louisiana. 504Detroit's father, Detroit Sr. is the lead guitarist for New Orleans music legends Irma Thomas and Charmaine Neville. He has accompanied other greats such as Winton Marsalis, Grammy award winner Allen Toussaint, and Donald Harrison. He is also featured on HBO hit series "Treme".

Paving his own path while growing up in the 9th ward section of New Orleans, 504Detroit began showcasing his talent as a member of his church choir and performing in local talent shows. 504Detroit's unique style can be best described as smooth, with a dance appeal, but also street friendly. His sound definitely appeals to the masses.

In 2008, 504Detroit created a buzz when he was featured on a track with C-Murder formerly of No Limit Records. The track titled "Be Fresh" was released on Asylum Records. The single received heavy airplay throughout the south. It also received a large amount of attention on internet and satellite radio. The result of this initially success was the formation of a large fan base.

504Detroit continued his grind teaming up with his first cousin also an artist formerly of No Limit Records the late great Mr. Magic. The two family members collaborated and came up with the hit song "Chastity". 504Detroit kept the ball rolling as he aggressively began to write and record his own music.

In July 2009, 504Detroit released his first solo CD entitled "Doin Me". He also released "Wish the Best For You" and "Do You".

In 2010 while doing shows on the road, 504Detroit reunited with his friend and associate "Gudda Gudda" from Young Money Ent. They went into the studio and collaborated "In The Club". This single picked up heavy airplay throughout the southern region.

In 2013, 504Detroit released a single called “BOP” that also received heavy airplay throughout the south.

To date 504Detroit has released numerous songs and have done shows in which he has opened for greats such as Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, Bobby Valentino, Pleasure P, The Dream, Monica, Slim of 112, and Lil Wayne's Young Money Camp. 504Detroit has performed around the world, and has an enormous fan base in New Orleans and throughout the southern region.

504Detroit plans to take his singing and songwriting talents to the next level.
